Communication
for Healthcare Innovation

You know your science. I help your audience understand why it matters.

3+ years in healthcare communication

Sound familiar?

You have the information. But turning it into clear, effective communication can be harder than expected.

The information is there, but it’s hard to use.

You have the scientific information, but it is spread across documents, sources and contributors. You need to bring it together, clarify and structure it before it can effectively support communication.

You know what you want to say, but not how to communicate it.

The message may be clear internally, but you need to decide what to show, how much to say and how best to present it to turn it into the right communication approach.

The same message does not work for every audience.

You need to communicate the same science to different audiences, but each one needs a different level of detail, structure and language. What works for investors may not work for partners, healthcare professionals or patients.

The material exists, but it no longer serves its purpose.

The content and materials are already there, but new data, arguments or priorities may call for an update. The structure, visual hierarchy or format may also need to evolve to better support your current objectives and audience.

about

My career started in pharma and biotech, not in communication.

I trained as a pharmacist and spent the first part of my career working in pharma and biotech before moving into medical and science communication, and information design.What I enjoy most about it is the challenge of taking something complex and figuring out how to make it work for the people who need to understand it. What matters? What can be left out? What needs to be explained differently? What is the clearest way to show it?I like working at that intersection of science, communication and design.
Healthcare innovation is where those interests come together for me. It is a field where the information can be highly technical, the stakes are real, and getting the message right really matters.

Why work with me

Understanding the science is only part of the communication challenge.

The context behind the science matters.

I understand the environment behind healthcare innovation and the different considerations that shape how information is created, discussed and communicated.

Your audience doesn’t see the information the way you do.

I have worked closely with people across different functions, each bringing their own objectives, constraints and perspective to the same information. This helps me step back from the content itself and consider what matters to the people who will use, discuss or act on it.

You can keep the whole process with one person.

I can take the work from structuring information and shaping the message to designing the final communication material, while keeping the context and science accuracy intact throughout the process.

How I work.

A good brief starts with a conversation.

Before getting into the work, I like to understand what you are trying to achieve, who you are speaking to and what the communication needs to accomplish. Taking the time to align at the start usually saves time later.

Questions and recommendations are part of my job.

If I see a potential issue, I will raise it, explain why it matters and suggest a way forward. You know your subject and your audience best, so my role is to bring an informed outside perspective, not to make the decision for you.

I don’t pretend to know what I don’t know.

My background gives me a strong foundation in science and healthcare, but I am not a specialist in every field I work in. When something is unclear, I research it, ask questions and check my understanding with the people who know the subject best.

I like knowing nothing has been overlooked.

I work methodically, checking the details and reviewing the information along the way rather than leaving quality control to the end. A clear process helps me stay focused and gives you confidence in the final result.

How it works

A clear process keeps the project moving.

01

DISCOVERY
& BRIEF

We start with a conversation to understand your objectives, audience, context and what you need. We also make sure the scope and timeline are clear, and identify the information and materials needed to get started.

02

PROPOSAL
& KICK-OFF

I prepare a tailored proposal outlining the scope, deliverables, timeline and fee. After approval, we kick off the project, align on the details and make sure everything needed to begin is in place.

03

WORK
& CHECKPOINTS

I take the lead on the work, with your input at key stages. Focused checkpoints allow us to review the direction, resolve questions and validate each stage before moving forward.

04

FINALIZATION
& DELIVERY

Once everything is approved, I finalize the materials and deliver the agreed files. I remain available for follow-up questions and value your feedback once you have had a chance to use the work.

Tell me about your project.

These Terms apply to all medical and scientific communication services provided by Marine Plestan EI (the “Service Provider”) to professional clients (the “Client”). They do not apply to consumers.Together with the accepted quotation and, where applicable, any contract or amendment signed by the parties, these Terms form the contractual framework governing the services, subject to the order of precedence set out in Article 17.These Terms are provided to the Client with each quotation and are available on the Service Provider’s website.   • repeated and unjustified challenges to deliverables that have already been approved;

Work performed up to the date of termination shall remain payable.

Article 16 – Independence of the Parties

  1. Any amendment signed subsequently by the parties;

  2. Any framework agreement or specific contract signed by the parties;

  • des pénalités de retard au taux de trois (3) fois le taux d'intérêt légal ;

  • de l'exactitude, de l'exhaustivité et de la légalité des informations, données, textes, claims, références, images et autres éléments qu'il fournit ;

  • de la détention des droits, licences et autorisations nécessaires sur ces éléments, y compris pour la reproduction de figures, tableaux ou extraits de publications, et pour l'image ou les témoignages de personnes ;

  • de la validation scientifique, médicale, réglementaire et juridique finale des contenus destinés à être diffusés ;

  • de la conformité des contenus et messages aux règles applicables à ses produits, services, activités et marchés ;

  • l'acceptation d'un contenu par une autorité réglementaire ;

  • l'obtention d'un résultat commercial, financier, médical ou scientifique ;

  • l'atteinte d'objectifs de communication ou de performance ;

(a) les travaux réalisés et les phases engagées, au prorata de l'avancement ;
(b) les frais engagés ;

  • propos injurieux, menaçants ou harcelants ;

  • • demandes ou pressions répétées hors du périmètre du devis, malgré un avertissement écrit ;

  • • remise en cause répétée et injustifiée de livrables validés ;

  • • manquements répétés aux obligations de collaboration prévues aux articles 5.2 et 5.4 ;

(a) des travaux réalisés et des phases engagées, au prorata de l’avancement, qu’ils aient été livrés ou validés ou non ;

  1. avenant signé postérieurement ;

  2. contrat-cadre ou contrat spécifique signé par les parties ;
